Trauma & PTSD
When the past keeps showing up in the present—flashbacks, hypervigilance, or patterns you can't break.

Understanding Trauma
Trauma isn't always a single catastrophic event. Sometimes it's the accumulation of experiences that taught your nervous system the world isn't safe—or that you aren't.
You might know exactly where your patterns come from. You've done the work of understanding. But understanding alone hasn't been enough to change how you feel in your body when you're triggered.
That's because trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. Talk therapy can help you understand, but it often can't reach the places where trauma is stored.
How I Work With Trauma
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
A powerful approach that helps your brain process traumatic memories so they no longer hold the same emotional charge. You'll recall the memory, but it won't hijack your nervous system.
IFS (Internal Family Systems)
A gentle way to work with the protective parts of you that formed in response to trauma. Rather than fighting these parts, we learn to understand what they're trying to protect.
Somatic Therapy
Working directly with the body to release stored tension and complete the stress responses that got stuck. Your body holds the wisdom of what it needs to heal.
